Moonveil, a pioneering web3 game studio, is set to launch its gamer-focused Layer-2 Chain testnet, powered by Polygon CDK. This release represents a major milestone in Moonveil’s mission to create a scalable, secure, and fast gaming ecosystem.
The Layer-2 Chain testnet, built on zk-powered Polygon CDK and AggLayer, offers modularized functions like transactions and oracles, significantly improving network speed, efficiency, and security while lowering costs. This design allows developers to easily test new features without disrupting the overall system—crucial for rapidly evolving game products.
M.J Wang, Co-Founder and CEO of Moonveil, expressed excitement over the upcoming launch, highlighting the chain’s scalability and performance benefits for both developers and gamers. The chain uses advanced technologies like Polygon Zero and recursive STARKs to reduce gas fees and enable seamless creation of decentralized apps and games.
AggLayer, co-developed by Polygon Labs, ensures cross-chain liquidity and eliminates mismatches between in-game and gas tokens. It also allows for the creation of independent game environments, enhancing modular design and improving game organization.
In conjunction with the testnet launch, Moonveil is releasing Flaming Pets, an on-chain strategic multiplayer game set in a magical world, aimed at optimizing the L2 technology while providing an engaging gameplay experience. The studio is also preparing to launch node sales, inviting community participation in its ecosystem growth.
Since its founding in 2022, Moonveil has raised $9 million from prominent investors, solidifying its position as a leading innovator in the gaming industry.
